Come and join us on a Saturday Evening 18:30 – 23:30 for our Social Night We play Bingo, Have a mini Tote Club and a Raffle Draw plus we have our own Bar open at very competitive prices for a good selection of drinks Families and Children are very welcome but ask that you please supervise any children attending.
To help adults with disabilities in the community, Sunnyhill Community Centre has a program running weekdays 8:30 – 15:00. This program features a variety of activities like Bowling, Swimming, Walking and much more. This is to support people to take part in these activities as a group helping one another along the way.
Held at Sunnyhill Community Centre is Aikido Classes. These classes are a type of Japanese self defence that is based around the way of the harmonious spirit. The classes are made up of certain moves like locks and holds against the attacker. Session are held on Thursdays at 18:00 – 21:00 and we welcome anyone who would like to show up. Livewell is a government run program to encourage people in the community to live more active and healthier lifestyles. Running for a 12 mount period you can do activities to help improve your health and have advice on many things like smoking exercise and more.
Livewell sessions run on Wednesdays at 18:00 – 19:00 in the centre.
Derby Pentecostal Church is a place for people to come and pray and worship God. All the family can attend these services and anyone is welcome to join and partake in this church.
Derby Pentecostal Church meet on a Sunday 10:00am – 2:00pm.
Apostolic Church of God (7th Day).
This church meet at our centre on a Saturday 10:30pm-3:30pm except for the first Saturday of the month.
This is a respite club for children with disabilities to enable their family to have time to do other things with brothers or sisters or just for themselves. This club is run by Jubilee Church and is normally every first Saturday of the month though this can sometimes change so it is good just to check. They meet 8:30am-12:30pm.
This is a group who records items onto USB sticks from newspapers and magazines so that people that are unable to see properly or cannot hold a book can still get stories, articles and news. They meet at the centre every Wednesday 9am-11am and are always looking for volunteers.
Satori is a Martial Arts group who meet at the centre every Monday 6:30pm-7:30pm. They teach Free Martial Arts so if you want to come along and give it a try you are welcome.
